With the rapid development of personal computer, micro-electronics technology and electric power-electron technology, essential transformation has taken place in NC(Numeral Control) technology, which give birth to the 6th generation of NC system—PC NC system, namely open CNC system.This thesis detailedly discusses on the software methods of real-time control system based on Windows platform. After analyzing and comparing the differences of them, double CPU structure of "PC + Motion control card (DSP)" is adopted in our project to accomplish real-time control. Emphases about exploiture and examples of output of interpolation are presented in the paper. Function moduals in system are modularized and encapsulated. Interfaces about step motor and servo motor are also provided, which satisfies different requirements of costomers.Feed movement is finished by fully digital servo drivers in this system; also a set of electric control system, including electrical logic control and interfaces between motion control card and servo driver, pulse emtter and operating panel, is designed and produced by ourselves. It is successfully used in control of XK5030 upright milling machine and realizes automatic machining. Means and productions of the paper provide theoretical guidance and practical experience for research of CNC system based on PC.
