The servo control system of precision straightening machine make great effect on its precision and work efficiency. Mechanical and electrical servo control system is chose in this paper, mature servo control theory is used to research the application in precision straightening machine. It needs to control the movement of the four servo motor through the processing of the precision straightening machine. Pressure straightening motor and span adjustment motor’s displacement should be controlled accurately in the position control method; the workpiece must be clamped quickly and stable clamping force should be provided in torque control method. The research contents are as follows:(1) General structure of the servo control system of the precision straightening machine is designed. Four kinds of control method are analysed, a suitable servo control system is chose for the machine to realize the design requirements and a mathematical model about the span adjustment control system is build.(2) Hardware platform structure of the precision straightening machine servo control system is designed and build, the hardware platform contains IPC, motion control card, servo motor and feedback element. The operation of the servo motor can be precision controlled and the computer resource can be saved when the IPC cooperate with motion control card. The connection between IPC and motion control card, servo controller and motion control card, servo controller and servo motor, the port are all introduced in this paper.(3) Control software of the servo control system is developed. Different operation control instruction code of servo control motor is compiled on the basis of the DMC motion control cards own programming instructions and motion demands of each shaft. Compile debugging program, the control instruction is integrated by Lab VIEW at last. After the completion of the hardware platform of the servo control system, essential parameter of servo controller is set, the communication between IPC and motion control card is established, the servo motor and control system program are debugged until the servo motor in normal operation and control program realize predetermine requirement.
