In recent years, as the food processing industry unceaseing progressed, and the market demand increased, our country's potato deep-processing industry is developing quickly. Though the quantity of the production enterprises such as produce the potato starch, potato entire powder, potato food and so on,is unceasingly increasing, and the potato deep-processing technology can attach much value to the product so that we can obtain a bigger economic value, the waste water volume which produced in the potato starch production process is 7 times more than the potato quantity,and it contains the highter organic matter, also COD value arrives between the 6,000 mg/L and10000mg/L.In production process,there mainly produces three kinds of waste water:the first kind waste water is mainly polluted by suspension (silt), also contains small pieces of potato or the scraps of yam, bud, grass, leaf, root and so on, these pollutant approximately occupy 1 - 5% of potato's weight; The second kind of waste water mainly contains organic compound, such as carbohydrate and protein. It is very feculent as it not only contains dissolutable organic matters, but also many insolubles, such as the starchparticle, the cell, the small pieces of the potato bud, the root textile fiber as well as the leaf and so on;the third kind of waste water (cooling water) is in fact the water which has not been polluted,and can be circulately made use of after cooling. Therefore,the waste water we actually have to process, are the first kind and the second kind.At present,about the potato starch waste water,the processing route which domestic and foreign used are several ways as follows:(1)the simple way of using only Pu Qi (2)the way of natural processing (3)the way of biological treatment. The first way is limited as it need a higher price but lower achievement and longer resident time;If applying the second way we need certain agriculture land and the arid climatic condition, this method effected by many natural factors, therefore in a certain degree,it is also limited for wide area promotion;The main raw material use to produce starch is potato, the potato waste water contains massive dissoluble organic pollutant which is aerosol and shows colloidal state. it also have no poisonous matter, and it's nature of biochemistry is good, if using the way of biological processing,we can obtain the good effect. However,taking potato as the raw material of starch production has its own characteristic in aspects such as production craft,season and so on. Therefore, how can we take the special details into consideration so as to chose a kind of processing craft which is economy and owns high efficiecy has become the main question which the designer should consider.This experiment use the simulated test to study the feasibility which if we can use the prosess which combinate the coagulation to strengthen the solid fluid separation– hydrolyzed acidification - UASB - aeration oxidation pond to deal with the high concentrated potato starch organic waste water,also study it's processing effect and the fuction parameter so that we can provide the patato starch producer with a low cost but high efficient and suitable waste water processing route. Moreover, the potato starch waste water is high concentrated and contains many organic matter, so study on this topic also provide a certain theoretical basis for other similar waste water The experimental resoult indicated that this combinated craft processing is effective.The COD remove rate may achieve about 95%,the BOD5 remove rate is 98%,and other targets also have achieved two levels of the national sewage synthesis discharge standards(GB8978 - 1,996).Comparing with other processing crafts,the processing cost also has been greatly reduced。All above prove that this craft can solve the potato starch waste water so as it can be discharged as country's standard.This craft specially suits the current potato starch production.Finally,considering overall benefit of the processing project and its significance to the environment ecology,the author also accounts the technology economic evaluation of this craft, and puts forward his individual proposals.
