Thermal spraying is an important surface treatment technology and this technology is widely used in the industry. The pairs which made up by the ceramic coatings and resin-impregnated graphite are applied to hermetical parts and high speed cigarettes quality checked equipments. But the tribological performances of the ceramic coating rubbed against resin-impregnated graphite have not been discussed.This paper discussed the detonation-gun sprayed Al2O3-20%TiO2 coatings,Al2O3-40%TiO2coatings,WC-Co coatings and plasma sprayed Cr2O3 ceramic coatings rubbed against resin-impregnated graphite under dry sliding friction. Based on the experiments, This paper discussed the wear mechanisms. The experiments indicated: This four ceramic coatings'wear rates decreased firstly and then increased with the test times, The main wear mechanisms are adhesive wear,fracture and abrasive wear;The coatings'wear rates increased with the sliding velocity, The reason is that the temperature increased with the sliding velocity, and it brought the material flow and caused adhesive wear;The coatings'wear values increased with the normal loads, and it existed a sudden jump in wear values, because the wear mechanism changed suddenly, Fracture and desquamation of grains happened in the ceramic coating's surfaces ; The resin-impregnated graphite has low friction coefficient, the lubricating film can reduced the adhesive wear during the sliding frition;Relatively, the Cr2O3 ceramic coatings'tribological behavior is best. The coatings and resin-impregnated graphite are good frition pairs;This discussion is based on the company's conditions, and analyse the frition behavior and wear mechanisms, so it has the academic value and practical value.
