Research on non-point pollutions(NPS) of surface waters become more andmore important and are being increasingly recognized as hot domain. The origin ofNPS is broad, which carry much sediment, nutriment, harmful and toxic substancesinto rivers or lakes, which bring many problems of water, such as high concentrationof TSS, more harmful and toxic substances, low DO, eutrophication and acidification. As an important water supply source in Shenzhen, the problem of eutrophicationin Xikeng reservoir is getting increasingly serious because of NPS, so it is importantto take right measure for the protection of water source. The study about office building watershed collected relevant literature anddesigned four kinds of Best Management practices(BMPs), which includerainspout/planterbox, biobox, biofiltration strip, detention pond, dam and constructedwetland. Applied the independently designed model to simulate hydrology and waterquality: TSS,BOD,TN by applying three different rainstorms and analytical dates ofwater samples. The purpose of this study was to investigate the first flush processwhich casing water quality variation and to gain the treatment effect. The results showed that the impact of a small storm was far worse than a bigstorm. The elimination rate of TSS is above 80ï¼…, and the others are above50ï¼…, suchas BOD and TN, so the BMPs system can effectively remove non-point pollutions.
