Nowadays the water used for ecosystem has been preoccupied by national economic water-use. This severe situation has resulted in deterioration of the ecological functions of water. The ecological environment of our country has been improved partially while the integral situation is still deteriorating and the prospect is not cheerful. In order to coordinate the relationship between national economic water-use and the water used for ecosystem and to further sustain the healthy and steady development of ecosystem. it is of great importance to understand the ecological serving functions of water and to analysis the evolution process of eco-hydrology of the slope system of a basin. By doing this, we could have a better understanding of the ecological functions and effects of water, thus providing support for the basin management.Wulie River plays important role in maintaining the regional water security, ecological safety, and so on. While in the recent years, with the development of economy, the ecological environment has deteriorated:sudden floods have threatened the safety of the lower reaches of Wulie River and the city of Cheng De. What's more, Wulie River often dries up in the spring and the maximum annual dried up period reaches up to 93 days thus having great impact on the ecological environment of the city of Cheng De. Besides, this situation caused further deterioration to Cheng De Imperial Summer Resort which is a famous historical and cultural relic. Cheng De has to face the severe shortage of water. This thesis mainly studied the following three aspects:The concept of the ecological serving functions of water and the establishment of its evaluation systemOn the base of serving functions of water ecological system and the response relation between water and ecology studies by others, this paper pointed out that the truth concept of the ecological serving functions of water is based on the relationship between hydrology and ecology of a basin. The service provider is different occurrence forms of water in the water circulation process. The service objects are the biological factors in the ecological system and the inorganic environment which they are relying on to survive. In this way. this thesis expanded the range of the service provider and object of the ecological service of water. What's more. evaluation system has been established so as to provide some reference to other basins' evaluation of ecological service functions of water. Identify the evolution process of eco-hydrology of the slope system of Wulie River basin and their inter-functional relationsBy establishing eco-hydrology discrete coupling simulation platform and combined with field prototype observation, the eco-hydrology of the research area can be simulated. In addition, the evolution law of eco-hydrology in Wulie River basin can be analyzed. Quantitative analysis of the inter-functional relation of eco-hydrology of the slope system can be done in the research area, thus providing evidence for the quantitative study of the ecological service functions of water. The identification and quantitative evaluation method of the ecological service functions of the water in the Wulie River basinOn the base of analyzing the evolution law of the eco-hydrology of the slope system of Wulie River basin, the formation mechanism of the ecological service of water in Wulie River basin was identified. In the meantime, the ecological service function of water of Wulie River was figured out. The ecological service function of water can be quantitatively calculated with the help of prototype observation technology, statistical method and eco-hydrology model.
