Tadpole of Fejervarya multistriata was chosen in studying the eco-toxicity impacts of the organophosphate pesticides: Dichlorvos (DDVP) and Triazophos.By way of conventional aquatic toxicological tests, and by using the technic of physiological and genetic toxicology to study the poison at the cell and molecular level, so that to reveal the toxic impact of these two pesticides on farmland tadpoles, and takes the amphibian as an indicator to provide scientific bases for protecting the amphibians and setting up an environmental monitoring system of aquatic ecosystem. The result of acute toxic tests showed that Triazophos was medium-toxic to tadpoles of Fejervarya multistriata, the LCso in 96h is 6.430 mg/l. The result of sub-chronic toxic test showed that the tadpoles grew slight slowly when treated with different concentrations of each pesticide, within certain range, the higher the concentration, the shorter of body length of tadpoles. The impacts of pesticides on the iso-enzymes of EST and LDH, on enzyme activity of EST of the tadpole tissues were studied. The activity of EST was inhibited; the activity of LDH was activated at first, then recovered to normal level; low concentration of pesticides may increase the activity of SOD, while high concentration showed inhibition effect.Micronuclear Test was used to study the induce effect of the pesticides on micronucleus and nuclear abnormal hemocytes of tadpoles of Fejervarya multistriata. Single cell gel-electricity (SCGE) was used to study the effect of DNA damage on tadpole hemocytes, the dose-reaction of DNA damage was determined.
