With the prosperity of the economy in China, mechanical industry also has an unparalleled development. Mechanical industry is the base of modern industry; furthermore it plays an important and strategical role in boosting and supporting national economy decades recently. There is no denying that nation is becoming aware of the development of mechanical industry.This study researches on an difficult and complex problem about the noncircular cross section roller at the present time. The aim is conforming the method of machining technics and unitary design, so this study is provided with practical significance for engineering. Four familiar method of machining technics are involved in my study to ascertain the best――turning machining. The characteristic of roller turning machining decides the critical technology of numerical control lathe――the numerical control Feeding system designing. In order to reduse Feeding system intertia and increase acceleration,Feeding system is designed a Feeding merchanism with 2 degree of Freedom.Then design the structure of feeding system and the transmission of Feeding system, i.e. motor, ball guid screw, shaft coupling. Finally, Mechanical motion analysis is done by ADAMS, got velocity and acceleration of feeding system according to the section curve, analyse them. Kinematics analysis found that this method could machining noncircular cross section roller better than others, besides it provides a theory base for the study of numerical roller lathe.Although the production of this study is presented for roller machining, it has machining meaning for the theory and method of non- congener accessory.
