In view of the present situation in wrapping forming process, such as the backwards of the processing technology, the low precision of the wrapping bushes, our work focused on the analysis of the influence factors of the forming precision of wrapping bimetal bushes. The wrapping process was simulated by finite element simulation technology, and the key factors of affecting the forming precision of wrapping bimetal bushes was studied in detail.Firstly, the researches on the development and the application of bimetal bushes were reviewed. The current research situation of wrapping bimetal bushes and the finite element analysis of sheet forming was analyzed. The forming process of bush wrapping was systematically and theoretically analyzed by the plastic theory. And the related parameters in the forming process, such as bending moment, spring back, etc, were analyzed and calculated.Secondly, the theory of finite element simulation and the concerned softwares used for simulating the forming process of bush wrapping were introduced in detail in the thesis. The establishment of material model, the unit selection, the grid division, and the friction contact in the stimulation of the forming process of bush wrapping were discussed.Finally, the forming process of bush wrapping was simulated by finite element software. The distribution of stress and strain and the influence of material flow on the distortion of the bush were analyzed. The influence of some factors, such as the choice of material parameter and the die gap, on the spring back, warp and forming precision were studied according to the practical cases. The optimized parameters were suggested.The finite element models, simulation conditions, and the simulated results in our work will be valuable for the die design, the wrapping technology and the improve of the forming precision of bimetal bushes.
