Study On The Preparation Technique Of Flos Trollii Microcapsules

Flos trollii was the dry flower of Trollius chinensis Bung, and active constituent was the total flavonoids. It was used widely as a traditional herb among the people and was always put into use in treating upper respiratory tract infection, acute otitis media and acute conjunctivitis, et al. In this experiment, the preparation of flos trollii microcapsules was studied.First, we selected the optimum "extracting conditions of flos trollii by using the methods of orthogonal design, which was extracting with water twice ( 1 hours every time, 14 times for the first and 12 times for the second), precipitated with 75% alcohol.Second, we purified the total flavonoids with AB-8 macro porous resins and found the optimum conditions, which made the content of total flavonoids being 65.15%. It reached the requirement of new drug applications.At last, using the methods of uniform design, the preparation technique of flos trollii microcapsules was optimized. Qua coating material, glutin was utilized in this experiment. With the simple coacervation method, the optimum condition showed when the ratio of core material to coating material was 1:4.5, the ratio of oil to water was 2.25:1 and the stirring speed was 1200r/min, the even encapsulated efficiency of flos trollii microcapsules was 55.02%. The distribution of diameters and the release speed of microcapsules accorded with standards.In this experiment, the flos trollii microcapsule was prepared for the first time and had remarkably sustained release action. Microcapsule could be made into other dosage forms, so the article improved the research of antibacterial herbs and would be the base of new dosage forms.
