Regioselective Cyclopalladation Of 1'-benzoyl-1-[(arylimino)phenylmethyl]ferrocene

In this thesis, the cyclopalladation of 1'-benzoyl-1-[(arylimino) phenylmethyl] ferrocenes as well as their structure-property relationship of the ferrocenylimines were studied in the following two aspects:1. A series of 1'- benzoyl-1-[ (arylimino) phenylmethyl] ferrocenes were synthesized.2. The cyclopalladation of 1'- benzoyl-1-[(arylimino) phenylmethyl]ferrocenes was carried out. The N→Pd coordinated products were obtained with high yields. All new compounds were characterized by EA, IR and ~1H NMR and 2D-NOESY(4a). The structure of cyclopalladated complexes were determined by X-ray single crystal diffraction.
