In the realm of supramolecular chemistry, great interest has recently been focused on the crystal engineering of coordination frameworks by use of the principles of self-assembly, which represents a topical and current research interest in chemistry, materials, medicals and biology areas.The reason is not only in supplying useful information about the constructing, entangling even topological linking by covalent and incovalent interactions of molecular entities, but also in both unusual physical, chemical behavior and potential applications as optical, electronic, magnetic, catalytic materials, molecular recognition, absorbent, ion exchange, gas storage and biological activity. Lately, it is demonstrated that rationnal design and considerate selecting special organic structure through appropriative approach of assembly should to be the key in constructing target polymers and which is a stubborn challenging work for scientists either. In this research, nine new complexes of transition metals based on N, N'-di(2-pyridyl)-2, 4-diamino-6-phenyl-1, 3, 5-triazine (dpdapt); N-heterocyclic aromatic carboxylate; polydentate aminopolycarboxylate(egta) ligand in variety conditions have been prepared. They are [Cu(dpdapt)(SO4)]·2H2O (1),[Cu(dpdapt)(C2O4)]·H2O (2), [Cu(Hhbd)(dpdapt)]·6H2O (3), [Ag3(IN)2](NO3)] (4),{[Zn(Pzdc)2(H2O)6]·H2O}n (5),{[Mn(Pzdc)2(H2O)4]·3H2O}n (6) [Cu2(egta) (H2O)2]·H2O (7), {[Cu2(egta)(bpa)(H2O)2]·H2O}n(8), {[Cu2(egta)(bipy) (H2O)2]·5 H2O}n (9), which have been determined by the X-ray single crystal diffraction analysis, elemental analysis, IR spectra, UV-Visible spectroscopy, fluorescence spectroscopy, thermal analysis and temperature dependence of magnetic susceptibility measurement to investigate the spectroscopy characters and properties.The results revealed that the conformation and potential coordination sites of the ligands play an important role in the structures of complexes.Dpdapt react with different inorganic and organic metal salts,obtained two mononuclear complexes and one 1D Z chain structures. As it was replaced by containing N-heterocyclic aromatic carboxylate ligands, synthesized three different topological 1D chain structures of 4, 5 and 6, respectively.When using polydentate aminopolycarboxylate ligand react with copper salts, only afforded binuclear complex 7. Interestingly, complex 8 and 9, the two one-dimensional helical chains was synthesized by hydrothermal reaction with 3,12-bis(carboxymethyl)-6,9-dioxa-3, 12-diazatetradecanedioic acid(H4egta) bridged metals with similar type, form distinct topologies influenced by auxiliary dissimilar exo-bidentate bipyridyl ligand of bpa and bipy, the former gives rise to a 3D two-fold parallel interpenetration of (4,6) nets containing an overall entanglement hydrogen bonding networks,while the latter makes a 2D supromolecule structure with open tunnel encapsulated a unique 1D wate tapes consisting of pentamer water clusters. Meanwhile, it revealed some disciplinary conclusion on analysis of structures, assembly rules, spectroscopy characters and electrochemistry properties of supramolecular polymers constructed from these three kinds of N/O-donor multifunctional ligands.
