Polyaniline(PANI) have been widely applied in technology such as rechargeable batteries, electrochromism, electromagnetic interference shielding and metal anticorrosion because of their variable structure, relative high conductivity,unique doped mechanism, excellent physical performance,good environmental stability, handy materials and can be easily synthesized. Polyaniline anticorrosion coating is an environmental product with excellent performance because it can avoid the traditional delay-corrosion materials destroying the environment. Because PANI is a polymer with conjugate p bonds, having bad performance of dissolution and conglutination, so it must be compounded with other ingredients in order to reach ideal effect of anticorrosion.Silica with excellent dispersion was synthesized in this chapter by deposition method in the presence of four kinds of surface active agent. The influence of different kinds and dosings of surface active agent and the value of PH in the system to the yield and mean particle diameter was discussed. The structure of silica was identified by means of FTIR. And then PANI/SiO2 composite particles were prepared by in-stiu polymerization of silica and aniline. The dosage of the oxidant, the molar concentration of hydrochloric acid, the weight ratio of aniline to silica and the reaction time on the yield and conductivity of composite particles were studied. The structure of PANI/SiO2 composite particles was identified by FT-IR, and its appearance was characterized with the method of SEM.In the preparation of PANI anti-corrosive coatings, the copolymer solution of MMA/BA/AA was synthesized first by solution polymerization, and then compound this solution with PANI/SiO2 composite particles.The influence of the dosing of PANI/SiO2 to the rigidity of coating, conductivity, brine-resistant and acid-resistant was discussed. The best proportion of anti-corrosive coating was m(Poly(MMA/BA/AA)):m(PANI/SiO2)=80%:20%.In the preparation of acrylate anti-corrosive coatings, MMA/BA/AA emulsions was synthsized first in the presence of EC8600 as emulsifier and APK as initiator. Some influencing factors on the performance of emulsions are discussed,and the prime proportion of MMA/BA/AA emulsions was: n(MMA):n(BA):n(AA) =1:0.9:0.19 4.0% emulsifier 1% initiator. Then the anticorrosion film with high water-resistentence and weather-resisitentence was obtained by compounding this emulsions with hydrophobic Silica.The structures of the above copolymer were identified by FT-IR.
