MBR(membrane bioreactor) is a new-type technology combining biology technics and membranous separation. The characteristics of MBR are high-efficient removal of pollutants, better effluent quality, less room and high automatization. Submersed MBR is the technique of keeping the membrane submersed in the reactor which has been applied most. Hole fiber membrane operated with external press is prevalent at home and abroad. The head problem that restricts the development of MBR is the membrane fouling which makes the effluent worse, the flux difficult to renew and the maintenance to clear more than ever. All these makes the cost of MBR get higher.This study chose polypropylene hole fiber membrane to treat dyeing wastewater, focus on the running, results, membrane fouling and Prevention of the process. Established the models of sludge and the removal of organisms, then validated the later model. Added anaerobic process before membrane bioreactor according to the characteristics of dyeing and finishing wastewater. Besides, put some certain power activated carbon in the reactor to change the characteristics of the liquid in it. All these processes combined the Anaerobic-PAC-SMBR process.The wastewater was got from a dyeing factory, the characteristics of it were variable, such as CODcr:616~2480mg/L, SS: 220~980 mg/L, chromaticity: 60~1450, NH3-N: 14.5~770 mg/L, turbidity: 105~4900FTU. the effluent was insipid and the CODcr was about 120 mg/L, had no SS, the chromaticity was below 5, the NH3-N in it was about 25mg/L and the turbidity was below 30 FTU after the system was running steadily. PAC changed the characteristics of the liquid in the reactor which made the membrane fouled slowly and the flux was easier to be renewed.The results of the experiment showed that Anaerobic-PAC-SMBR process treating the dyeing and finishing wastewater both well and steadily, and realization the target of the experinment, It is believeed that the application of MBR in treating dyeing and finishing water has a great foreground.
