In this dissertation, we have explained and showed how to make the flame retardancy and the toughness of the epoxy resins much better. We use the phosphorus-flame retardant for making the flame retardancy of the epoxy resins much better. The research makes us known that: add the phosphorus element into the high polymer, not only the material has the flame retardancy of no-halogen, also it can reduce the losing of the mechanics capability of the material. In this dissertation, we use the DOPO, the -OH in it can react with the epoxy-group of the epoxy resins, then, there is phosphorus element in the epoxy resins, and we get the phosphorus-containing epoxy resins. The LOI value and TG can explain the flame retardancy, thermal property and flame wear of the phosphorus-containing epoxy resins.The research indicate that: the phosphorus-containing epoxy resins has the advantages of high efficiency of flame retardancy and flame wear, meanwhile, he phosphorus-containing epoxy resins and the silicon can have the synergistic effect.Because we add the phosphorus element into the epoxy resins, the toughness of the material reduced a lot, we need to improve the toughness and make it much better.In this dissertation, we know that there are three methods to improve the toughness of the epoxy resins.Toughening of the epoxy resin has been carried out by incorporating the polyurethane precursor (PUP) into the epoxy resin. The network formed in during the thermal treatment process could account for the improvement of the epoxy matrix.
