Based on the study of potassium silicate, silica sol, Trialkoxysilane performance, the reaction temperature, determined potassium silicate. sol, alkoxy silane and water as raw material, in a certain temperature range through orthogonal experimental, synthesis of a high modulus potassium silicate solutions as inorganic flake zinc-rich coating with the base material. With the proper preparation flake zinc mixed into inorganic flake zinc-rich coating. Through mechanical properties testing, salt spray and immersion test results show inorganic flake zinc-rich coating has good performance.Through the commercial inorganic spherical zinc-rich coating for the same performance test, comparison with inorganic flake zinc-rich coating, showed inorganic flake zinc-rich coating has better properties than commercial inorganic spherical zinc-rich coating.Inorganic zinc-rich coating is usually used as primer, above it needs to cover middle section and top section, to improve corrosion resistance. Experimental use MIO epoxy primer as an intermediary coating, chlorinated rubber as top section as composite coating of inorganic flake zinc-rich coating. And prepared the primer /intermediary /top tir-layer system and primer /top double layer system performance testing, while use commercial inorganic spherical zinc-rich coating, middle section and top section prepared double layer system and tir-layer system and immersion into 3.5% NaCl solution for electrochemical impedance spectroscopy test (EIS). The results showed inorganic flake zinc-rich coating matched with the middle section and the top section well.
