Tube cracking is the major process for producting ethylene nowadays and for a long time, about 99 percent of ethylene is produced by the tube furnace in the world. Because of no fungible technology, technical reform of tube furnace will be bring remarkable economical benefit. In the process of tube cracking, coking in the radiant coil and the quench boiler is a main factor that influences the operation period of the steam pyrolysis and the cost of the production. For Liquid feed is the major stuff for the ethylene production in China , coking is a outstanding matter. Continual decoking and the short operation period will bring the energy consumption and the scathe of the equipment, which caused economical loss will reach from 5 percent to 10 percent of total consume. In this paper, a new technology of synthesization of sulfur and phosphor compound as a coking inhibitor was studied, which will reduce the coking rate and prolong the operation cycle of the steam pyrolysis. Based on better experimental results on the partial furnace, the satisfactory result were obtained on the entire furnace. The results of industrial trail indicated, on the other hand, the above technology can reduce the rate and quantity of coking in the radiant coil and prolong the operation period; on the other hand, no any disadvantages for the steam prolysis have been found. This new technology can be widely used in the ethylene plants, where deal with heavy raw and have short operation period.
