The welding is one kind of important material processing craft, and which is the important constituent of modem industry manufacture technology. It is applied in each department of national economy widely. However, The overwhelming majority welding process all can engender complex welding residual stress, crack, blowhole and so on in the work piece, which reduced the welding structure performance, affected the welding quality.It is one of the welds domain widespread attention and important research topics to eliminate welding stress and reduce welding crack. Through concentrating on study many years, People proposes many method of reducing or eliminating welding stress, including the heat treatment, peening method, along with welds the roller compaction and so on. Welding with Trailing Peening becomes a welding new technology in the recent years, It guards against the crack in the success as the premise, It not only can control longitudinal and the transverse weld shrinkage distortion in the extremely low level, but also carry on peening strengthenization in the different area of welded joint, which according to the actual need. thus It realizes the dynamic low stress, the small distortion, the non-thermal crack welding truly.In order to realize the low cost, high quality and high efficiency , this subject is base on predecessor's research foundation to study automatization control system of welding with trailing peening. First, through the improvement electromagnetism hammer structure and increment the coil current, the hammer strength was increased and the electromagnetism hammer volume was reduced, the locomotory holding device which moves come-and-go with electromagnetism hammer and infrared sensor was designed to looking for seemingly peening area. The AT89C52 single-chip is control system core. The electromagnetism hammer is peening device. The temperature parameter was gathered by infrared sensor which tracked the weld, stepping motor were used as driving device. The main control circuit was made up of picking up the temperature unit, peening parameter control unit, stepper motor control unit and systerm configuration unit and so on. Finally, In orde to protect systerm form strong noise, arc and electromagnetism interference, The interference in systerm was analysed from software and hardware aspect by uniting with practical situation.Through experiment of welding with trailing peening, It shows that this systerm is able to hammer at the moment according to the concrete welding.Step motor was used to drive holding device to move and look for peening position. It has high execution precision, high on-off velocity and small summation error. AT89C52 make the smallest monolithic integrated circuit system. Seemingly software anti-jamming way was used, all systerm has stable runing states. The automation control of welding with trailing peening was came true. Operation nimble, convenient, high accuracy is characteristic of all systerm.
