As an essential process in modern industrial production, welding always occupies animportant position in a variety of fields such as materials processing, commercialmanufacture, and so on. Many specific welding manners have been developed in weldingfield for improving the quality and performance of welding point. Among of these manners,the magnetic control welding technology which may be widely used in many weldingmethods has attracted a great deal of welding workers from various countries in the world.CO2gas shielded arc welding has always been widely used in many welding fields asa high efficiency and energy saving welding manner. However, its disadvantages includingthe bad welding forming and the heavy spatter during droplet transfer have also becomeburning questions all the time. A new kind of method that exerts longitudinal alternatingmagnetic in welding process is utilized and can effectively reduce the spatter rate withcontrolling the droplet transfer in CO2welding process.With the accelerated digitization process and the development of new materials andtechnology, people propose higher requirements in welding quality and controllingaccuracy. Magnetic control welding equipment is developed, including the control circuitusing TI Company MSP430F449microcontroller as the master chip, which can outputdigital PWM control signal, and achieve faster data acquisition and processing speedcompared with analog control circuit. The main circuit with high stability uses advanceddual inverter technology and fast dynamic response,. The device can output DC, AC twowaveforms. High and low frequency conversion of magnetic field output is a key, and dutycycle, the excitation current can be adjusted continuously. At the same time, taking intoaccount of the use of the harsh environment, the device also uses a lot of hardware and software on the anti-jamming measures. The performance indicators are to achieve thedesired. Exerting longitudinal alternating magnetic field during CO2gas shielded arcwelding process by using the developed magnetic control welding equipment, Comparisonthe splash rate when not applied magnetic field under the same welding parameters: underthe action of magnetic field, splash in the welding process is greatly reduced, the droplettransfer process is more stable.Through a large number of experiments to analyze the droplet short transition processand splashing mechanism and explore the impact of the magnetic field strength and themagnetic field frequency on the short-circuit splashing process, it has great significanceand value on the digitizing magnetron welding equipment development.
