Die life is one of the important factors influencing production quality, efficiency and cost. Besides, it is also a significant criterion to die technical level. Material yield has been increased obviously since resistance wall was applied to the die of crankshaft. But it also has a problem: die life will be greatly decreased if parameters of resistance wall have not been chosen in a right way. Academic study of resistance wall has not been established systemically up to now, which is the important reason of restricting application of resistance wall.In present paper the tiny-automobile crankshaft die with resistance wall structure as an example was studied. Wear invalidation analysis of crankshaft die has been carried out though combining with the field work, and a series of effective measures in leaving wear have been taken. At the same time, effects of resistance wall height, clearance, gradient and fillet radius of wall root on the wear and deformation load in finish forging process were investigated under DEFORM3D. The mathematical expression was given out by curve fitting the simulation result base on the polynomial least square method to find out the rule. The result of the research here can provide reference for optimizing the parameters of resistance wall and improving the life of crankshaft die with resistance wall. Finally, the rationality and feasibility of the conclusions of optimizing were examined by experiment, contrasted the results between simulation and examination, summarized the succeed experience.The technology of crankshaft die, FEM simulation and mould CAD are integrated through this research. It helps to shorten developing period, improve life of die, and cut down the cost, etc. The progeny of the research can provide accordance for other crankshaft'producing and be used to guide producing directly.
