OBJECTIVE To study the chemical constituents of the whole plant of Potentillachinensls Ser.METHODS The extracting method and production of Potentilla chinensls Serflavonoid in orthogonal test were studied. Repeated chromatographies of silica gelcolumn were employed for the isolation and purification. The structures of theconstituents were elucidated by the spectral analysis.RESULTS The results showed that the extracting condition of good yield offlavonoid was 70%C2H5OH solution at 70℃for 2h twice with the solid, liquidratio 1: 12 (ml) and the productivity was 18.89%. Six compounds were identified as (1)ursohc acid, (2)β-sitosterol, (3) Oleanolic acid, (4) Myristic Acid, (5) Palmy Acid,(6) Quercitin.CONCLUSION This method is simple, quick and accurate, could be used for thedetermination of flavones in real samples. From Ethyl acetate part of Potentilla chinenslsSer 6 compound were isolated.
