Eutrophication question of nature water body has become more and more obvious。The inceased strict water quality standard system make people pay more attention to nitrogen elimination in wastewater treatment.Biofilm process as a result of its own construction feather suits for the long generation time of nitrifying bacteria's survival and nitrogen elimination in the system and the surplus sludge quantity is little.Using sequencing batch biofilm reacter (SBBR) to treat Guangzhou area low-carbon city sewage. Through theory and experimental study to establish fast economical and effective new denitrogenation reactor theory and application system.In the biofilm domestication stage ,controling the time and amount of aeration can realize two nitration types of entire nitrification and shortcut nitrification in sequencing batch biofilm reacter. The reactor has good elimination effect on organic matter ,ammonia nitrogen and total nitrogen (TN). The average removals of 90.50%, 90.54%were achieved for COD and NH3-N. It was found that SBBR achieved a higher degree of simultaneous nitrification and denitrification (SND) through controling dissolved oxygen (DO) in entire nitrification and shortcut nitrification which TN average removals are 65.0% and 80.2% .The DO, PH and ORP variation laws were investigated in the experiment. We can finish aeration in time to save energy consumption on terminal time of ammonia oxidation which can be found in characteristic point of DO, PH and ORP changing curves. The experiment has carried on the analysis to the nitration effect to organic matter density, DO, PH, temperature, ammonia nitrogen load and so on.it was found that the aeration time is most important to maintain the shortcut nitrification.By the look of microscope to describe biofilm's composition and shape structure characteristic . It also has carried on the explanation to biomass. The type and quantity's increasing of Protozoon and Metazoa is the the primary reason for SBBR sludge whose production rate (0.06~0.38kg dry sludge/kgCOD) is lower than that of general activated sludge process(0.4~0.6kg dry sludge/kgCOD).It has discussed the influences of organic matter density , amount of aeration and nitration type on the surplus sludge yield and researched on the feasibility of SBBR surplus sludge zero emissions.
