In this thesis, organosilicon antimicrobial was synthesized and its performance was studied. The major raw materials used to synthesize organosilicon antimicrobial are D4,KOH, 3―[2―(amino ethyl)amino] propylsiloxane and alkylated reagent benzyl chloride. Based on these raw materials, the amino-group silicone oil was firstly prepared, then with alkylated reagent benzyl chloride, the organosilicon antimicrobial was synthesized by changing the reaction conditions such as time, temperature, ratio of the reactants and so on. The best process conditions had been found by conducting and comparing a series of testing of the samples, such as IR, NMR, antimicrobial testing and othersOn the basis of the studies above, the fabric, where the organosilicon antimicrobial applied, was tested in mechanical property, thermal characteristics, especially antimicrobial effect compared with the sample untreated. It was found that the sample dealed with organosilic antimicrobial has a good property of antimicrobial. The broad spectrum antimicrobial and the persistence of the sample were also studied in this thesis. The study shows the organosilicon antimicrobial can effectively destroy Escherichia coli, Bacilus subtilis and Staphylococcus aureus, which also has a good persistence after seiries of bath when applied to the silk.
