Injection molding industry is very important for the economics of our country. Notonly because of the great mechanical ability of the plastic but also the low weight, the goodresistance to the erosion, the insulation and the strength make it developed so fast that it hasbeen used almost everywhere. Nowadays the volume of all the plastic which has been used iseven more than the sum of the steel, the copper and the aluminum. Along with theapplication of computer technology, numerical simulation on injection is playing more andmore important role in product process design. However it always takes too much time to geta high precision simulation result. The parallel computational technology could be used todeveloped the computational efficiency. This paper presents a parallel domain decomposition algorithm for FEM simulation ofinjection molding to divide the original computational domain into several sub-domains anddecrease the computing time by load balancing. By using two models (the load balancingmodel and the boundary control model), the domain decomposition could be dealed as anoptimization problem. Using multilevel optimization method, a satisfy result could be get. This paper is to study how to simulate numerically the Injection molding filling processin parallel. The governing equations of the problem are given firstly, they are then discretizedinto system of the finite element equations by means of Galerkin procedure. A domaindecomposition parallel iterative algorithm is proposed. By classifying the nodes, theassembling and solving of the system equation are paralleized, and a parallel program isdeveloped.
