The compound structure mirror sintered with titanium alloy and glass and manufactured with large area lightweight mirror technology breaks the mode of traditional processing with unique material. It guarantees the characteristics of good thermal stability, small relative density in using titanium alloy; furthermore the total weight can be reduced for its comb, hexagon back and 0.3-0.5mm glass after processing that is connected with it. For optical processing and coating processing, the processing difficulty can be decreased since processing is only on glass surface. The effective combination of two sides brings out the characteristics of the mirror: low processing cost, simple processing flow, good thermal stability, low weight and stable optical performance.On the foundation of consulting many literatures overseas and home, the paper puts forward a process program. After a lot of technological experiments, the manufactured lightweight mirror (size: 248×148) can reach the following technical index:The parallelism of the lateral axis of lightweight mirror with the mirror surface is less than 0.025; the parallelism of mirror surface with the back surface is less than 0.04.N=1△N=0.2 B=Ⅵα=1.4"Outer reflection film: 450nm~600nm R≥95%, 600nm~1100nm R≥97%,The lightweight mirror can conform to the requirement after high temperature, low temperature, shock and vibration tests.
