Phosphates of transition metals have been extensively studied due to their structural variability. There has been great interest in the preparation of metal phosphates due to their potential applications not only in catalysis, cathode materials, and iron exchanger, but also in fields of heat-resistant, water-oxidation,coating-lubrication,and so on,as well as because metal phosphates are widely utilized in nonlinear optical materials, sensors, and biocompatible materials.Metal phosphates are among the most wide spread minerals in the class of phosphate. It is very important to develop an approach to synthesize metal phosphates to meet demands. It has important theories meaning and practice meaning to exploit the new materials. This article is aimed to synthesis metal phosphate and investigate the best making condition.Metal phosphates have been synthesized by hydrothermal in this article. The content in this study is listed as follows;1.Manganese phosphates were prepared by hydrothermal synthesis, which were characterized by X-ray powder diffraction(XRD),scanning electron microscope(SEM),infrared spectrum(IR)and so on.The influences of the pH of the solution, reaction time, temperature and the concentration of the reactant on the purity and morphology of the final products under hydrothermal condition are discussed.2.Ag3PO4 was hydrothermally prepared by the reaction of Na3PO4·12H2O with AgNO3.The influences of the concentration of the pH of the solution, temperature, reaction time and the reactant on the purity and morphology of the final products under hydrothermal condition are discussed.3.A novel hierarchical star-shaped iron phosphate has been successfully synthesized by the reaction of Na3PO4·12H2O with FeCl3·6H2O at 150℃ for 12 h by a mild and simple hydrothermal approach. The products were characterized by X-ray powder diffraction(XRD),scanning electron microscopy(SEM),infrared spectrum(IR)and fluorescence(FL).The unique star-shaped has symmetric arms, each of which shows a trident-like, dendritic structure and consists of parallel iron phosphate nanoleaflets. Photoluminescence of iron phosphate shows that it luminesces very strongly. The influences of the concentration between reaction materials, reaction time and reaction temperature on the phase of the final products under hydrothermal condition are discussed.
