With the development of network and communication technology, greatly promotes the level of automatic management in oil districts .Adopting wireless monitoring system to collect oil well date and monitoring the working states has become into a inevitable trend .The paper puts forward and design a scheme of remote monitoring system for oil wells based on GPRS ,which can collect and transmit date of oil wells draw instruction power diagrams and monitor the oil-extractors all the time .The system mainly includes three parts: oil-extractors control unit ,remote date transmission unit and date processing unit in the monitor center .The oil-extractors control unite is on the base of PIC16C72 which can collect date ,such as voltage, electric current, loads and displacement .It also can send and receive date ,and control oil-extractors. The remote date transmission unite transmits date by GPRS modem so as to implement the communication between the oil-extractors and the monitoring center. The date processing unit in the monitoring center which is developed by Visual C++ can store oil-extractors display the working state ,draw instruction power diagrams and diagnose the malfunctions of oil-extractors. There are many characters of indicator diagram and pump indicator diagram in detail. With these diagram ,the states of pumping units well can be directed immediately .At the same time it can strengthen the efficiency of management and pumping units well .
