As a new type of polyester fiber, PTT possesses unique physical characteristics, andperformance differs greatly from that of PET, such as its low dyeing temperatures,excellent compatibility, comfort-stretch, softness, easy dyeability to goodlevels of colourfastness in a full range of shades, superior resiliences and greater stain resistance. All ofwhich made PTT a widely applied fiber. In order to empolder new spin materials, optainmulti-function, lower the cost, improve product quality and the appearance of fabric, PTTis usually blended with other fibers.According to the property of PTT and cellulose fiber, this article mainly studied thedyeing performances of PTT, discussed the influence of predispose conditions which arefor the cellulose fibers to PTT. By selecting, dyes which are suitable for one-bath-one-stepdyeing method of disperse/reactive dyes have been found; and the dyeing recipe andprocess conditions have been optimized. Since the stain of disperse dye on cotton can leadto the colour shade change, we also probed the mechanism of disperse dyes contaminationon cellulose fibers, and completed some anti-contamination auxiliaries, furthermore,through various tests like resistance to evaluate temperatures, zeta potential, grain analyse,the anti-contamination mechanism had been studied; meanwhile, the homochromatism oncellulose fibers are also be studied in this paper.The results showed that the suitable dyeing temperature of disperse dyes dyeing PTTwas below 60℃, and the dyeing in alkalescence condition was feasible. After thick alkalitreated on PTT, the shade of dyeing played down. When dyeing in the high temperature,the molecule dyes play important in the course of one-bath-two-step dyeing technics. Byapplying to dyeing process, the assistant which we completed by ourself can achievesuiltable effect. More, through dyes selection, seting proper technics, the perfect color ontone effect can be reached on cellulose fibers.The technics optimized are as follows: mass ratio of disperse/reactive dyes are at70/30, sodium sulfate 40g/L and auxiliary 2g/L. Except a lower colour shade, the finished fabric dyeing by optimized technics can achieve a satisfied effect equal to the normaldyeing method of one-bath two-step process, while the dyeing fastness can reach the samerequest. And more, the application of one-bath-one-step process can reduce time, saveenergy, retrench water, advance production efficiency, and lighten sewage disposal burden.This process owns many merits practically.
