Sericin (Ser) is the most waste in producing fabrics and is a valuable materials proteinresource. In this dissertation, the new method of preparing Ser with high temperature andpressure in hot water was studied, and to get Ser effectively, we have studies on freezingthe dissolved Ser aqueous solution.Firstly, the category of crosslinking reagent were chosen by grafting yield of fabricsmodification with Ser and FT-IR, the best crosslinking reagent was poly-carboxylic acid. The fabrics were treated with Ser and the effects of various parameters on BTCAconcentration, sericin concentration, catalyst concentration, adding agent concentration, curing temperature and curing time were explored.Furthermore, the application performance of fabrics finish with Ser was studied in thispaper, such as whiteness, mechanical performance, air permeability, moisture permeability, moisture regain, warmth retention property, hygroscopicity and moisture liberationproperties, etc. And the fixation of Ser on fabrics was proved by fluorescence analysis, SEM, subtractivespectroscopy; and other analysis methods, such as amino acid analysis, wide-angle X-Ray diffraction patterns(WAXD), Thermogravimetric Analysis(TGA) anddifferential scanning calorimetry(DSC), were used to study the structure of treated fabricswith sericin. The results of the indicated that Ser can be received by freezing the aqueous solutionof raw silk degummed using hot water; and Ser was fixed onto the surface of cellulose inthe presence of poly-carboxylic acid at high temperature.
