The modification of fibre has been used in textile industry for a long time, and therewere quite great achievements in our life. However, the modification of fibre was almostused in synthetic and regenerated fibre, the research on the modification of natural fibre isstill under the development.Extraction and machining technology of original bamboo fibre was only created byourselves, and still in the highest flight all over the world. The patent of original bamboofibre was received by Xuesong Co., LTD of Hunan province. There are too manyadvantages of original bamboo fibre, such as high intension, good elasticity, particularsheen and gliding as silk, easy dyeing, anti-bacterium, anti-ultraviolet ray and so on.Furthermore, it is in accordance with "Green-Consume" currently.However, the rigidity of original bamboo fibre is much higher than other cellulosefibre. In the process of loosing and carding, there was too much fallen fiber. It was easybrittle to rupture, a little bad pliability, and the surface of fabric was not smooth enough, sowe would feel a little itching when we touched the fabric. The high quality of originalbamboo textile was block off as these characteristics, so the farther development andutilization was also more or less influenced.Based on above facts, two modifications were adopted to deal with original bamboofibre, they are enzymatic and plasma. The main contents were given in this paper asfollows:1. The pliability of original bamboo fibre was improved by enzymatic, the rigidity and thedifference of dynamic and static frictional coefficient were deeply decreased, and thetensile elasticity was improved slightly.2. The strength of original bamboo fibre wasn't influenced remarkably, the surface andcomponents were hardly changed, but the crystalloid was changed slightly.3. The pliability and strength of original bamboo fibre were not influenced remarkably byplasma, and the components and crystalloid were hardly changed. 4. The surface of original bamboo fibre was deeply changed by plasma, the coefficient offriction was deeply increased, and the intertwist of fiber was greatly improved.
