Evaluation Of Land Qualities In Huaihua City, Hunan Province

At the core of the evaluation of land qualities, this paper combing the GIStechnology and the evaluation method, carries through the study in theories, methodsand techniques.With the support of information technology and models, a series of preferableland qualities evaluation projects on the platform of database are brought forward inthe paper. All types of land are classified by the grades which are arranged in degreesof the land quality; On the foundation of the combination of GIS and statisticalsoftware, this paper deposits and transferring data in the database, and putting in landqualities evaluation maps.In this paper, some software, such as MAPGIS, are used to evaluate landqualities, and Visual FoxPro is used to establish database, and DPS, a statisticalsoftware is used to deal with data. The methods choose evaluation factors by Delphimethod, calculate weightings of factors and evaluation data by principal componentanalysis.Database is centrum of land qualities evaluation, and this paper attemps valuablyto storage, conformity and transfer data in large area by data stream's expediting viathe core of Visual FoxPro.In the last, the paper takes land qualities evaluation of Huaihua as an exampleand applies evaluation project into practice, presents five grades map of land qualitiesevaluation. It indicates that the methods are comparativly true of fact and dig out theexploitation potentiality of land. Accordingly, the results can offer reasons for themeasures of land restruction, land utilization, territorial management and protection.The merits of the research are combining forward GIS technique with the theoryand ways of land qualities evaluation, making it possible to integrate advanced GISsoftware, statistics models and database, approaching the land evaluation of data, alsooffering efficient tool for the land planning and management.
