The fire dike is one of the important parts of the tank safety insurance measures. Its security insurance is more important in the case of emergency and natural disaster. The safety analysis of fire dike is a part of the safety evaluation of tank farm. It is also the compulsory part in the tank farm design. In this paper, a computer program is compiled on the method of structureless composite finite volume method, which is used to simulate the flow state of the fluid, which rushes out of tank on the emergency of tank break. Another program is compiled according to the finite element method, which is used to do the stress analysis of the fire dike on the impulsive load. The destructive affection to the fire dike of earthquake can be computed by ANSYS.Using the program to simulate the flow of the fluid, the flow state and law in the sequent time of the emergency are inferred. In the meanwhile, the impulsion to fire dike when the fluid arrive at it can be computed quantitatively. The stress value and distribution of the fire dike can be got by finite element analysis, from which the stress concentration and vulnerable points can be inferred. The simulation of earthquake emergency gives the affection that earthquake makes to fire dike, and then the destructiveness can be concluded. The conclusions which are got by the analysis of fire dike in this paper can be a guide or reference to the safety design and evaluation of tank farm as well as the daily maintenance.
