In Wangjiashan coal mine, the roadway deformation and failure in deep dip angle fully mechanized top-coal caving is comparatively severe and the workload of roadway Repair is big. It is one of the main factors to restrict the safety and high efficiency production at the working face. Therefore, the roadway support of deep dip angle fully mechanized top-coal caving face has very important realism meaning.Though surrounding rock deformation and failure observation in deep dip angle fully mechanized top-coal caving face roadway, this paper analyses and summarizes the basic features of high angle fully mechanized top-coal caving face roadway surrounding rock deformation and failure in Wangjiashan coal mine. The main parameters of deep dip angle fully mechanized top-coal caving face roadway bolt-mesh supporting have been analyzed. On this basis, the reasonable bolt-mesh supporting plan on deep dip angle fully mechanized top-coal Caving face roadway is put forward. These results provide proof for support method and parameters of deep dip angle working face roadways.There are obvious differences in the characteristics of deformation and damage between the roadways in the deep dip angle working face roadways and in the horizontal or gently dipping seams roadways. In the deep dip angel fully mechanized top-coal caving face, the roadway deformation is large, the deformation of the section is non-symmetrical, the roadway convergence near the coal seam floor is big, and the floor heave is obvious. When the technique of bolt-mesh supporting is applied to the roadway supporting in the deep dip angle working face, the bolt non-symmetrical arrangement and the round corner micro-arch rectangular section can make the effect of supporting much better.The results of the upper drivage test and the monitoring in the NO.407 working face roadways showed that the supporting plan put forward can effective control the roadways deformation and failure, and the good supporting effect has been obtained. Furthermore, the rationality of the supporting plan has been confirmed.
