The require for carbon monoxide as important gas resource for the industry is increasing , on the other hand ,carbon monoxide which make catalazer unvalid is impurity in general, so separate and recovery these kinds of gas by adsorption is of great importance for industry.PSA is a new separation technology in recent years,and it purify gas by pressure period swing using the difference of adsorption capacity for kinds of gas on the solid material and the character of gas adsorption capacity changed with the pressure.So the adsorbent as the central of PSA technology directly affect the result of separation , the complexity of process and the life of the PSA. As a result ,it is a great importance for separation and resorce that the adsorbent for PSA have high adsorption capacity and selectity.Zeolite modified by ion-exchange is applied and studied generally. The aim of this article is to obtain the zeolite 5A with higher degree of ion-exchange and adsorption capacity by improving the traditional process,so not only the calcic salt selected,heating temperature and rate,but also treating with salurated Ca(GH)2 solution and prepararing at little CO2 are systemicly studied .1. the study of the improved exchanged process on zeolite 5AIn order to improve the adsorption capacity of 5A,some calcic compounds are added at the traditional heating step,and the CaCl2 is the best to improve the ion-exchange degree because solid ion exchange happened and can be confirmed by XRD and element analysis.Further investigation indicated that the amount of CaCl2 added is best at 0-0.5mmolCa2+/100g zeolite and the lower and higher rate of heating tempetrature between 550-680℃benefit the adsorption capacity.The experiment with salurated Ca(OH)2 solution before ion-exchange with CaCl2 soution can improve the adsorption capacity of samples.Compared results of prepearing samples with or not CO2 present that CO2 can not affect the prepareing process,this is important for industry application .2. the study of loading CuCl on 13X as high efficient absent of COWhen zeolite 13X is mixed with CuCl and heated,high CO adsorption selectivity and capacity can be obtained. The supports 0.25-0.35gCuCl/g13X have higher CO adsorption and 0.2 gCuCl/g13X have higher CO/CO2 selectivity.XRD defined the momolayer dispersion of CuCl and solide ion-exchange and N2 adsorption (77K) shew the loading threshold is relative with the surface area of sopport . Thus more Cu+ can be provided to complex with CO.
