Along with the speedup of urbanization and the continuous increase of rate of gasification and the continuous improve of standard of living, the output of MSW is increasing continuously, as well as the content of the perishable organic matter. Most inland composting plants adopt the static composting technics this years, because of the high height of windrow and no agitation during the composting, the distributing of temperature, humidity, FAS and the content of volatile solid inside the windrow appear layer effect and space variance, at the same time, for the big thermal inertia, it is difficult to control the temperature of the composting material inside the windrow, so the material is not composted uniformly and the composting period become long and it is easy to make anaerobic fermentation. Therefore, it is necessary and urgent to develop new dynamic and half-dynamic composting technics and devices which adapt to the characteristics of MSW of our country.The fast gravity-overture plate waste composting device is a new half-dynamic composting device. In this paper, the main technological parameter including the height of the windrow, incubation period, ventilation system, ventilation energy consumption, floor space etc, are analytical studied based upon the fundamental principle of thermophil aerobic composting and according to experimental data and result. Further more, the main structure and component part are designed optimally. Contents of study and optimization include the constructional design and force analysis and material matching of overturn-plank unit, overturn drive unit, charging and distributing unit, platform, ventilation and deodorization system, discharging unit, tower body etc. By the study above, the main technological parameter are provided for the reference of device design and practical application.The study result demonstrates: the device adapts to high-content organic solid wastes and has high reliability and is convenient to operate, also its cost of construction and operating is lower, so the device can not only be used as individual processing facility, but also be used as one part of a comprehensive treatment system in different area.
