Since1950's, because the population increases sharply, industrialization and urbanization comes quickly, the nitrogen and phosphorus level become more and more in the water, which quicken the eutrophication of the lake. The aquatic environment damage of cyanobacteria water bloom is very serious. Our study mainly explored submerged UV-C technology application for water bloom control. The present article reports investigation on degradation of cyanobacteria by the combination of UV-C and H2O2. We choose Anabaena sp. PCC 7120 for experiment. In addition, we have also investigated the likely influencing factors, such as H2O2 dosage, pH values, UV light intensities, and the reaction time on the degradation of Anabaena sp. PCC 7120. The result showed that UV-C and H2O2 have intensive oxidation ability to Anabaena sp. PCC 7120. After 5 days, the elimination rate of Anabaena sp. PCC 7120 was to reach 85% under the experimental conditions of H2O2 dosage 1mm/L, with the reaction temperature 25℃, pH 6.8, UV light intensity 0.430mw/cm2 and reaction time 20 minutes. UV-C technology and H2O2 was used to an analog experiment for degradation of cyanobacteria in the condition of flowing. SOD and POD and Chl a in Anabaena sp. PCC 7120 was almost be degraded.
