Presently, the research on the Co-Cu-B alloy had found that it had nicer giant magneto resistive effect which could make parts of an apparatus trend to micromation and cheapness easily, so it would have widest foreground of application in the domain of sensor, memorizer. Whereas the study on magnetic property of Co-Cu-B alloy powder was most infrequency in material field.In this paper, the nanometer Co-Cu-B alloy powders had been prepared in solution of mixing cupric and cobaltous sulphate, by liquid reduction process, on the condition of pure water and the ethanol-water system, using KBH4 as a reducer, PVP as a dispersant. On this basis, taking the nanometer powders'preparation craft technology and the performance research as the key point, we explored the effect factors such as dispersing agent, distribution droplets order, reducer concentration, proportion of Co2+ to Cu2+ in metallic salt solution, as well as reacting environment on the size, morphology, structure and magnetic performance of particles.The results which obtained by the test analysis of the products from different experimental conditions under carrying through XRD, TEM, SEM, EDS, AES as well as VSM showed:We could both prepare Co-Cu-B alloy powders which were sphericity on the condition of pure water and the ethanol-water system, by droping the reducing agent solution to the metal salt solution. In the alloy powders, copper inclined to be crystalline but cobalt was to be amorphous. The hysteresis loops were all slope with long and narrow. Powders which prepared in ethanol-water system decentralized well, the particles'size compared with the pure water system products'was tiny. As far as the magnetic property was concerned, the Co-Cu-B alloy powders which were prepared in ethanol-water system were nicer than the products prepared in pure water on the same experiment condition.The granularity, the crystallization degree as well as the magnetic performance of nanometer Co-Cu-B alloy powder related with the reducing agent concentration. The granularity and the crystalline degree of the powders were all lower relatively with increasing the concentration of the reducing agent. Besides, saturated magnetization of the nanometer Co-Cu-B alloy powders became big and coercive force was low relatively when the concentration of reducer was higher.It would increase the amorphous transformation tendency of nanometer Co-Cu-B alloy powders with enhancing the cobalt proportion in metallic salt solution. The change of Co2+ and Cu2+ proportion also had a certain influence on the particles'structure and magnetic property, and it showed that the magnetic property of nanometer Co-Cu-B alloy powders was closely linked the content of cobalt in the products.This research had discovered that we could obtain the nanometer Co-Cu-B alloy powders which had different performance through optimizing the preparation craft. Especially, it had prominent effect to enhance the content of cobalt in product, improve structure and magnetic property of the powders on the condition that the environment was ethanol water with high reducer concentration and big proportion of Co2+ to Cu2+.
