Nanometer materials are widely used due to their numerous special properties. Great achievements in the preparation of them have been gotten by our hard work. Nanometer Fe powder also is widely used owing to its special properties in electronic, magnetic, optical and chemical fields. These years it has been widely applied in electronic-magnetic, biological, medical, optical and other fields.Deoxidation reaction is one way to synthesize nanometer Fe powder, which is of simple technics and low cost and the easily controlled conditions. The production is homogenous, highly pure and of small granularity. In this work, nanometer powder was synthesized in solution by the raw material FeCl2 and deoxidation agent diamine hydrate. In the synthesis process, surfactants and catalysts were introduced to guarantee the dispersion and prevent oxidation of the powder. The optimum technics and condition of the preparation of nanometer Fe powder were come out after our research on the influence of the condition and factors of technics and polymer surfactants on the properties of Fe production. The properties were characterized by X-ray diffraction analysis, TEM. The results presented that introduction of stir, surfactants, heating dealing technics, catalysts and son on, especially addition of polymer surfactants had great effects on mean granularity and dispersion. At the end point, pH value was controlled at 11, under this condition the concentration ratio of deoxidation agent diamine hydrate to oxidation agent was 2:1.Heated at 200℃ for 2h, magnetic force stir and addition of mixed surfactant by blending anion surfactant with polymer surfactant, sphere particles were prepared, which was well dispersed and without congregating and the mean granularity of which was 65nm. The nanometer Fe powder before heating dealing was encapsulated by the layer of polymer.
