In order to restrict the effect of waste electrical and electronic equipment (WEEE) on the environment, European Nation published Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE Directive) and Restriction of the use of certain Hazardous Substances in Electrical and Electronic Equipment (RoHs Directive) in 2003. It is essential to restrict the content of Pb, Cd, Hg, Cr6+, PBBs, PBDEs in RoHs Directive. RoHs Directive had great effected the export of our Electrical and Electronic Equipment. In particularly, it has many problems to determine the PBDEs'content. In this paper, different pre-treatment methods for the determination of PBDEs flame retardants in plastics were investigated by using Soxhlet's extraction, ultrasonic extraction and microwave-assisted extraction. The Br contents in samples were determined by Engry-Dispersive X-Ray Flourescence Spectrometry (EDXRF). The PBDEs quantity in samples were determined by Gas Chromatography-Mass Spectrometry (GC-MS). Compared these data, the result used by microwave-assisted extraction and GC-MS is the best. In this method, the recoveries ranged from 90.3 to 92.8%, and the RSD of precision (n=7) equals to 0.90%.
