Paraffin wax crystals of lube base oil crystallizing-out, forming three-dimensional networks structure leads to lose flowablity at low temperature. In order to keeping the fluidity of oil products at low temperature, There exsit two methods, one is making base oil dewaxing depthly, which could obtain the lower pour out point lubricating oil, however, it is harm for the quality of oil products; the other is adding a little of pour point depressant into lubricating oil system, which could improving paraffin wax crystalline form and structure significantly in oil system, therefor, reaching the aim of decreasing freezing point.Pour point depressant usually is oil-soluble High Polymer, owning length chain alkyl and polar side chain. The descending function of Pour point depressant depends on its carbon numbers distribution in side chain of molecules. Generally, alkyl side chain of pour point depressant uses different carbon numbers monomer copolymerization, and adjusts its average carbon numbers to adapt to different lube base oils. I worked under this background in this paper, and gained the new synthesis process synthesizing the pour point depressant which is different with existed. The special process conditions as follows:1. Pentaerythritol stearicacid ester was synthesized by pentaerythritol and stearic acid, p-toluene sulphonic acid as catalyst, toluene as azeotropic agent. Esterification optimum condition: the mole ratio of pentaerythritol to stearic acid is 1:1.6, temperature 210℃, time 4.5h, toluene-p-sulfonic acid 3.0%(in pentaerythritol and stearic acid total mass), toluene 80%.2.The terpolymer(entaerythritol stearic acid ester-styrene-fumaric acid)( PSSF depressant) was synthesized pentaerythritol stearic acid ester, styrene, fumaric acid, benzoyl peroxide(BPO) as initiator. Polymerization optimum condition: the mole ration of fumaric acid to styrene is 1:4, temperature 90℃, time 4.0h, BPO 0.6%(in ester, acid, styrene total mass).
