With the development of economy construction in the extension of the engineering activity scale, the deteriorate rate and the frequency of the geological hazards tend to accelerate. This article investigate the data of geology, mine, hydrology, the physical geography, economy and development programming of Suining city. Considering geological environmental condition and main problems about city programming, construction and development. Then data exploiture and investigation on the spot. The theories of the city environmental geology, the geology engineering and the city ecology etc had been used. This paper respectively evaluated the environmental geologic quality of city area with AHP-based and fuzzy synthetic evaluation. City geology environment evaluation, city geology disaster risk evaluation and city geosciences' suggestion evaluation.This paper respectively evaluated the environmental geologic quality of city area with the grey clustering method and AHP-based two-level fuzzy synthetic evaluation. The results of quantitative evaluation are satisfied with the qualitative analysis.And this paper combined macro qualitative analysis to divide the environmental geologic quality in the city area. In general, the environmental geological quality of the city area is good. The quantitative evaluation method is a new attempt to quality comprehensive assessment of environmental geologic for city area and gets good effect. The study results are accorded with the real geological conditions and have strong practicability. It can become the reference to the quality assessment of environmental geologic for city area in the future. Urban environment geological maps is the major carrier of production Urban environment geological) which is visualize and intuitionistic. It is used in city instruction and programming and management and circumstance protection.The quality has much to do with Urban sustained development and harmonious society.This paper analyses the feature of the conventional geological environment map, about too much basic maps, lacking of application maps and also being complicated in frame configuration, having no specific destination, and that no profession people have much trouble to comprehend and use.First, it is lack of pertinence.Satisfy the requirement of the user can increase the practicabilityof the map.Secondly,traditional maps are more professional and integration.Thirdly,less adivice and conclusion.The quantity and category of maps is decided by the requirement.Base on the analyzing the city geology environment evaluation, considering the need of city development programming, it discuss the methods that making the user easier to comprehend and use the maps, maps facing to whole society, expressing geology environment information better, adapting city planning project, from the composition of the maps, character design, color way, symbol design, frame configuration , vision impact. Lastly, with regard to all aspects discussed, the measures for cartographic generalization can be put forward.
