Human being lives depend on soils, contaminants of heavy metals in soils are important parts of human living surroundings. People take resources from nature. After processing, utilizing and consuming, waste water, waste gas and waste residue are produced, and then enter into soils. If soils are polluted, it is hard to resume. So it is necessarily to find out the content of heavy metals and inspect the anomaly in urban environment geochemistry. In this research working flow include: disposing sample sites, sampling, instrument analyzing, data analyzing. This research cover with five areas of Qingdao: Shinan area, Shibei area, Sifang area, Licang area, Laoshan area. 319 samples were taken. Using instrument analyses, the contents of 72 matters were tested. This article only discusses eight (As, Cd, Cr, Cu, Hg, Ni, Pb, Zn) of them.In data analysis, Arcgis (Geographic Information System) was used to make basic map (relief map and map for distribution of sampling sites). Isoline maps of heavy metals content were made by Surfer. Cluster and factor analysis were carried out to the data statistics by SPSS. Environment quality was evaluated by geo-accumulation index and enrichment factor. It was shown that in weatern coastal areas the content of heavy metals were high. In the southern coastal areas, the contents of As, Cd, Hg and Zn were relatively high, and the concentration of Hg exceeded the standard value. Some region of moddern area was seriously polluted by Zn. In eastern area, the contents of heavy metals were in range of background values. It was not polluted by heavy metals.
