The metal Schiff Base complexes/zeolite composite material is a kind of unique new catalytic material, combining the property of complexes and zeolite organically. This kind of catalyst has the effect of site isolation, can effect the high selectivity of reaction, and it can be separated easily and reused. So, the catalyst got many people to pay attention, and became a hot subject in catalytic material research.Since the zeolite modified electrode was invented, it became a new field of electrochemistry research, extensively used in electrocatalysis, electrical analysis and electrochemical characterization. Recently, it is an important research direction in modern electrochemistry field. In this paper, we synthesized some metal Schiff Base complexes / zeolite composite materials, with zeolite Y, MCM-41, AlPO4-5 as host materials, respectively, and the transitional metal Schiff Base complexes as guest molecules. Taking these composite materials as modified materials of electrode, we prepared zeolite modified electrodes, and the electrical active materials in modified electrodes were characterized by cyclic voltammetry. The paper includes following contents mainly:Firstly, seven kinds of metal Schiff Base complexes were synthesized with transitional metals-Co, Cu, Mn, Fe and Schiff Base. The prepared samples were characterized with UV-vis spectroscopy and Infrared spectroscopy, and the electrochemistry behaviors of them were investigated with cyclic voltammetry.Secondly, three kinds of metal Schiff Base complexes of Co, Cu, and Mn were encapsulated in zeolite Y with flexible ligand method, the electrochemistry behaviors of them were investigated with cyclic voltammetry, and we got the likely result of extrazeolite electron transport mechanism through the research of the electron mechanism of CosalenY modified electrode.Thirdly, by two different methods, Cosalen complex was covalently grafted with the mesoporous molecular sieve MCM-41 to give Cosalen-MCM-41 composite materials. The samples were characterized, and their electrochemistry behaviors were investigated.Fourthly, the electrochemistry behaviors of Cosalen-AlPO4-5, Mnsalen-AlPO4-5 and Fesalen-AlPO4-5 prepared by two methods were investigated, as a result, the electrochemistry behaviors of composite materials prepared by two methods were different. This paper proves the cyclic voltammetry of zeolite modified electrode can become an ideal characterization means of metal complexes/zeolite composite material. In this paper we got the likely result of extrazeolite electron transport mechanism through the research of the electron mechanism of CosalenY modified electrode. The research of this subject established the basic for the development of the electrical catalysis and the electronic transmission mechanism research of metal complexes /zeolite composite material, and will promote the development of metal complexes / zeolite composite material.
