CAD technology is rarely used in domestic stuffed toy enterprises up to now. Introducing CAD technology into the design and manufacture of the stuffed toys is of great significance to raise the technical level of these enterprises.On the basis of analysis of the current situation, the existing problems and the practical requirement in the design and manufacture of the stuffed toys, some advanced technologies such as reverse engineering, optimization, database were introduced into CAD for stuffed toys in this thesis, mainly includes the following aspects:Used reverse engineering method to obtain stuffed toy digital model, which has been one of the most difficult problems in CAD for stuffed toys.Made a number of simple and effective model partition method to obtain three-dimensional surface model of a single cloth, realized the computer-aided cloth-partition for stuffed toys.Based on spring-mass model established an optimization algorithm with the objective function of minimizing spring elastic potential energy to solve the three-dimensional surface flattening with folds.Using VBA language in AutoCAD platform developed stuffed toys graphical database management system, enabled the stuffed toy enterprises to get rid of artificial management mode.Samples of application of the computer-aided interactive design system for stuffed toys shows that, such a system enhanced the stuffed toys staff's ability in interactive design and innovation on the basis of their original experience, and provided an initial foundation to the further research and development of function-integrated CAD / CAM software for stuffed toys.
