With the development of industries, international societies focus on environmental pollution. Various pollutants discharge into water, and wastewater contains more and more complex ingredient. So that thus wastewater treated by common methods could not meet our requirement.Consequently, advanced oxidation process becomes the key research interest. And it includes photocatalysis and irradiation technology.1. Research on treatment of acrylonitrile wastewater. Because of much CN- in acrylonitrile, so we firstly embark on synthetic solution (KCN), according to its different concentration(100mg.l-1 and 300mg.l-1), then irradiate them and find out feasibility. Further, irradiate practical acrylonitrile wastewater, still from COD and CN- concentration to study irradiation influence. The way of increasing irradiation results is leading gas when irradiating. The removal rate of COD improves to 50.1%, and the removal rate of CN- improves to 89.9%.2. Compared with irradiation treatment of papermaking wastewater, the COD result of biological treatment is relatively higher. Further using irradiation in combination with photocatalyst can get better result; It was found out that changing pH will not affect results of treatment and when the dose of irradiation is at 1 kGy with the treatment of papermaking could attain relatively better result.3. Using the mineral to prepare mineral loading photocatalyst and study the effect of mineral and TiO2. Further research on the effect of irradiation and photocatalyst treatment of chemical industrial wastewater and papermaking wastewater was carried out.Increasing the quality of photocatalysis was brought about via dipping Fe3+å’ŒSn4+ into the material. Though material has a degree of adsorption, yet the treatment of wastewater was mainly through degradation. XPS has been used to characterize the nano-TiO2 photocatalytical material.4. Montmorillonite loaded nano-titanium dioxide photocatalytical materials were prepared at different temperature and the effect of photocatalysis was improved by metal ion dipping. Different materials prepared were used in combination with irradiation to treat papermaking wastewater. With pretreatment of the materials by 70 kGy irradiation combined with irradiation with leading O2 to this system to treat papermaking wastewater, the results were further improved from 40% to 47%.
