The algae, which is the most important elementary producer on earth, has the most important effect in maintaining the balance to the entire aquatic ecosystem. So the algae biodiversity destroying will certainly lead to variety of algae biological community structure and the balance of nature. Therefore, with environment problem aggravating, biodiversity of algae will be paid more attention.The planktonic diatom in water from the Fenhe reservoir to Taiyuan is the object of study, applied different quantity analysis method to carry out all-round systematic analysis on the relation between the planktonic diatom and environment, and finally identifyed out 18 categories, 95 species of planktonic diatom. The diversity index of Shannon-Weaver,the diversity index of Simpson,evenness index of Lloyd-Ghelardi and richness index of Margalaef, which be standardized by fuzzy membership function, have been carried out to evaluate the water quality of Fenhe. The result indicates: water pollution of Fenhe has certain regularity, the pollution mainly from the domestic sewage and the industrial sewage bring about along the way and pollution increasing from the top down.Secondly, Research the function,status,ecological adaptation and ecological similarity of planktonic diatom in different habitats by Niche breadth index of Levins and Niche overlap index of Petraits, at the same time, analyze stability of aquatic organism, realize the using status of main kind of aquatic organism respectively to vicinity resource and the compete condition with the other specific. The result indicates: In the water of Fenhe, the Niche breadth difference of the different algae organism is bigger, the niche breadth difference of broadspectrum species is smaller, which is unsuitable to do the bioindicator of water pollution. The species of less Niche breadth, which has certain restrictive demand sometimes to the environment, are the bioindicator of aquatic organism monitoring. The Niche breadth of Nitzschia. palea (Kutz) W.Smith is the biggest, because of it is generalization species, it can use all sorts of resources. The Niche overlap of 30 common species is generally low, so community is stabilized. From the eco-response rate, aggression of Melosira granulata (Ehr.)Ralfs is strongest.Finally, analysis of interspecies association use corrected Chi-square test,Ochiai index,Dice index,Jaccard index and Spearman Rank Correlation Coefficient to research the interspecies association and correlation. The result indicate: Significance of the specie in Chi-square test is stronger, its Ochiai index is bigger, which indicate that the Ochiai index is in accord with Chi-square test in Species Association and correlation degree. In the correlation degree of three correlation indexes. Jaccard's correlation degree is smallest, the result of Chi-square test is very in accord with the result of rank correlation analysis, but the sensitivities of rank correlation analysis is bigger than Chi-square test. According to the result of Spearman Rank Correlation Coefficient, 30 dominate species be failed into three ecologic groups, which indicate different environment respectively.
