Study On Scout And Classification System Of Slab Quality

Scout and classification system of slab quality can be used in continuous casting process, it is significant to the continuity of production improvement in quality and reduction of cost, through timely on-line prediction. The system has attracted attentions of most famous steel companies in the world. The system is used in quality scout and on-line classification, and the chance for ERP system to track stream of materials is made.The paper was made on the basis of ASP process in AnSteel and classification system of slab quality; a series of study were made: production in practice, experiment and analysis of parameters concerned, the reasons of defect appearance and conditions in equipment or process were confirmed in detail. The system was applied in the 1700 product line last year; it showed that the system fully meets the need of continuous casting-direct rolling line and it provided necessary support for the application of ERP system in AnSteel. It has reached the advanced level both at home and abroad, and great benefit has been brought for our company by it.
