Chamber Type Filter Press, high filtration pressure, large filtration area,was invented in mid-20th century, characterizes low moisture content of filter cake, hood anti- corrosion ability and economical operation cost. It is the same with materiel which is hard to filtration, for example the strong stickiness the small grain the dregs and so on, so it must be the idealitiest equipment of filtration for mill running in the furure.The flow mechanism in the chamber of a chamber type filter press with flow rate and two-side permeations as in the actual operating condition was theoretically studied. The flow in chamber type filter in many condition caused major difficulties in modeling their internal solid-liquid flows. In this thesis, the strongly flow in solid-liquid chamber type filter separators is simulated by using Mixture models of FLUENT applications to use the body-fitted and partition meshes. The results give some new understanding on 3D velocity distribution.According to the numerical simulation results, the lab experiment are implemented in this thesis.The lab experiment includes two parts. It is solid-liquid phase separating experiment . the relation curve of production capacity-inlet pressure and separation property-inlet pressure are analyzed. Comparing with the numerical simulation ,the result is reasonable. The lab experiment has great value to confirm the advisable technology parameter, solve classification technique and its design, study theory and develop new type of filter.
