As a kind of natural functional color, lycopene has various biological activities. At present, studies on the spectrum of lycopene are not much. This article uses the techniques of laser resonance Raman spectrum to make test on the lycopene in the specimens. This article first gives the fact that the max absorption peak of lycopene is at about 490mm through calculation and then makes out the different absorption spectra of lycopene in different organic solutions by UVS showing that it has strong absorption peaks around 450 to 550nm and at the same time, makes analysis on the structure of lycopene. According to theoretical analysis and the results of experiments, laser resonance Raman spectrum tests are made on the specimens with a semi-conductor pumped solid-state laser of the wave length of 532nm for the first time; and a test is made as a human skin test in vivo of which the results are as expected. The results of the experiment show that the test on lycopene by laser resonance Raman spectrum has the merits of high precision and strong sensitivity and also the availability of tests in vivo.
