H13 steel as a major hot working dies steel, has been widely used in China. But along with the industry development, H13 steel certain performance, like wear resistant, surface layer degree of hardness and so on has not been able to satisfy the request. This research uses the industrialization the ion implantation equipment, carried on strengthened the H13 steel surface layer overall performance the research. The research discovered that,by CeLa+N and AlCeLa+N ions implantation, surface layer properties of H13 steel was modified. Nano- indentation results showed that there was an increase in hardness from 13.37GPa up to 16.60GPa after CeLa +N ions implantation. There was an increase in hardness from 13.37GPa up to 20.42GPa after AlCeLa+N ions implantation. To two kind of processing sample organizational structure test,by X photoelectron energy spectrum analysis further, Plant into cerium lanthanum alloy and nitrogen ion, there are 2 kinds of types cerium compound,3 kinds of types lanthanum compound,3 kinds of types nitrogen compound. Plant into aluminium cerium lanthanum alloy and nitrogen ion, there are 2 kinds of types cerium compound, 2 kinds of types lanthanum compound, 2 kinds of types nitrogen compound. It is for these compounds in the presence ions implantation injection layer, a layer for ions implantation injecting some new features, thereby enhancing the H13 steel surface nano-indentation hardness, resistance to abrasion, oxidation characteristics, and other performance. The production test result indicated that,Carries on AlCeLa+N ion implantation to the H13 steel, can enable the mold life to enhance approximately 30%.
